El Zócalo becomes ARMY
Get ready, because the Zócalo of CDMX will transform this Wednesday into the meeting point between diplomacy and K-pop. President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed in her morning that she will receive BTS at the National Palace at 5 in the afternoon.
“Today the BTS group is coming here to the National Palace in the afternoon… we can open a balcony on one side for them to greet, because it is something nice about friendship,” said the president.
A balcony for history
Logistics is key: the boys will wave from a side balcony, not the main one, so that the ARMY that is already standing in the Plaza can see them without chaos. All this happens before their shows at the GNP Seguros Stadium, as part of their “ARIRANG” tour.
Sheinbaum thanked the South Korean government for making this great moment possible that mixes foreign policy with mass culture. The goal? Strengthen ties of friendship and cultural cooperation between Mexico and South Korea.
So now you know: if you are downtown, get ready to see the kings of K-pop waving from the presidential balcony. This is more than a concert, it’s a little piece of pop history.
