Sinaloa’s energy reached Texas
The Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, was transformed last night into a little piece of Mexico. The MS Band, those regional kings that we all know, shook the stage with their “Somos MS Tour 2026”. And when I say tremble, I speak literally: the place was packed to the rafters.
Entire families, couples, friends and even children gathered early. That’s the beauty of this group: it connects with grandparents, dads, and grandchildren alike. Three generations singing the same songs.
The show started after 8:40 PM and lasted two and a half hours of pure party. They started strong with classics like “El Color de Tus Ojos” and “Hermosaexperience”, but the magical moment was when thousands of voices joined the chorus. Imagine that sound.
The repertoire that made Texas vibrate
- “My Reason for Being”
- “For This Love”
- “No Evidence”
- “I like your old lady” (yes, that one)
- “What a blessing”
But the final stretch was another level. They became nostalgic with songs by Juan Gabriel and Espinoza Paz, because what would a good concert be without a little tribute? Then came the anthems: “El Mechón”, “Soy de Mazatlán” and that regional anthem that is “El Sinaloense”.
The farewell was with an ovation that was surely heard all the way to the other side of the Rio Grande. The MS Band demonstrated once again why they are a reference in their genre. They don’t just play music: they create community.
And as the last chord faded away, it was clear that this night wasn’t just a concert. It was a border celebration where music does not need a passport.
