Aleks Syntek reappears ignoring the legal controversy
While a legal storm surrounds him, Aleks Syntek decided to return to Instagram. But not to talk about that. His former backup singer, Chilean singer Valeria Cox, sues him for unjustified dismissal and files a complaint for alleged sexual harassment.
Syntek opted for silence on the issue. Instead, he released a long statement addressed to his followers. The focus of the message was clear: his life is music.
“Music has been the axis of my life. Not only as a profession, but as a way of connecting, expressing and accompanying,” he wrote in the post that already has more than two thousand likes.
He assured that all his energy is focused on his tour and career. He spoke of the bond built with different generations during his more than three decades on the scene.
“I want to make it clear that my commitment to music remains intact. I will continue in the scene, doing what I enjoy most… There is Syntek for a long time!”, he added.
He ended by thanking fans and media, without mentioning a word about the legal conflicts. This is not his first controversy. In 2018 he was accused of alleged harassment by a young British man, and his statements against reggaeton have also generated noise.
For now, the singer of “Sex, modesty and tears” seems to be betting everything on the music speaking for him. Time will tell if that strategy works.
