A fairy tale wedding… with parents in airplane mode
Alejandra Capetillo, the daughter of Biby Gaytán and Eduardo Capetillo, decided that true love exists and married Nader Shoueiry, a Lebanese businessman who, apparently, passed the in-laws exam… even if it was by video call. The civil ceremony took place in Madrid, because nothing says “romance” like legal paperwork in a luxury palace (the Four Seasons Hotel, to be exact).
VIP absences and virtual photo sessions
The most curious thing? His parents, two media figures who normally cannot take a step without paparazzi chasing them, did not appear in person. Instead, Alejandra was delivered to the altar by her brothers, because what better than a family substitute when the protagonists are busy? Of course, Biby and Eduardo did not completely miss the show: they made their star appearance via video call, because in 2025, even emotions are experienced in streaming.
“My mom was helping me pose for the photos; it was a very nice moment,” Alejandra confessed. Of course, because what mother doesn’t dream of directing her daughter’s wedding photo shoot… from another continent?
Biby, always justifying his absences with elegance, declared: “When there are work commitments, those are immovable.”. And yes, why attend your daughter’s wedding if you can be in a play called “Two crazy girls (reloaded)”? Priorities, gentlemen.
A Disney-inspired dress and an unexpected serenade
Alejandra wore a two-piece white dress, inspired by A Game of Twins, because if you are going to get married, why not do it in the style of a 90s children’s movie? The menu, tropical decor, and dancing rounded out an evening that, by Instagram standards, was perfect.
But the most emotional (and random) moment came at the end: Eduardo Capetillo appeared in a video singing “Mátalas” by Alejandro Fernández, accompanied by the groom, because nothing says “marital happiness” like a song about… well, you know.
The religious ceremony is scheduled for May in Mexico, where, hopefully, the parents will attend… or at least send a hologram.
