Justice gets serious with Rihanna’s case
Things got ugly, and I’m not just talking about the scare. Ivanna Ortiz, the woman arrested for shooting at Rihanna’s mansion in Beverly Hills, could spend the rest of her life behind bars. The court documents are clear: life in prison is on the table.
The attack was on March 8. From a Tesla, according to authorities, he fired at least ten shots at the property where Rihanna, her family and two employees were at that time. The impacts even hit a caravan parked there.
Investigations revealed that the accused had previously published alarming messages on social networks about the interpreter.
Fourteen charges and a million-dollar bail
Ortiz does not face just any accusation. There are 14 serious crimes, including attempted murder. Authorities described it as “intentional, deliberate and premeditated.” There are also nine charges of assault with a semi-automatic weapon and three of shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
His lawyer, Jamarcus Bradford, first said he was innocent but later withdrew that statement. A strange movement that makes noise. His bail was set at $1.8 million (yes, you read that right), although they initially wanted more than $10 million.
The court also ordered her to stay away from Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. Something obvious, but now it has legal weight.
And Rihanna? TMZ reported that the next day she was seen leaving her house with several bags, heading to Van Nuys airport to take a private jet. It is not known if the trip was already planned or was a reaction to the incident, but the message is clear: no one stays calm after something like this.
The next hearing is March 25. There it will begin to be defined if Ortiz really goes down in history as the fan who crossed all limits… and paid the highest price.
