A graduation with a family message
Zahara Jolie, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Spelman College in Atlanta over the weekend. The 21-year-old wore a black cap and gown in a ceremony she shared with her mother and some of her siblings.
Angelina Jolie arrived on campus accompanied by Pax, 22, and Knox, 17. Meanwhile, Maddox (24), Shiloh (19) and Vivienne (17) did not attend the event.
No trace of paternal surname
Upon taking the stage, Zahara was announced as Zahara Marley Jolie, omitting the last name Pitt. His father was not present, which generated comments. A source told Page Six:
“They regretted that the celebration was overshadowed by hints towards a father who has already been separated from his family.”
Since Jolie and Pitt’s separation in 2016, all six children have kept their distance from the actor. Several have stopped using the surname Pitt in academic and professional settings.
In 2024, Shiloh legally eliminated that surname, which, according to reports, would have affected the protagonist of Fight Club. Vivienne also dropped her last name in the Broadway show The Outsiders.
Steps in fashion and entertainment
Zahara has ventured into other projects. In 2019 she launched the Zahara Collection jewelry line with jeweler Robert Procop, distributed in the United States and Australia. He has also participated in film dubbing.
She has accompanied her mother at events such as the 2021 Variety Power Women and has shown interest in causes against domestic violence. For now, his focus is on academic training, although he maintains links with the cultural industry.
