Yeri Mua explodes against HotSpanish: ‘protects a puncher’

Yeri Mua accuses HotSpanish of cleaning up Naim Darrechi's image in La Mansión VIP.

The tension explodes in The VIP Mansion

The HotSpanish reality show is no longer just choreographed drama. Now it is a battlefield. Yeri Mua, known as ‘Bratz Jarocha’, dropped a bombshell against the creator of the show and his handling of Naim Darrechi’s image.

“It seems like they can’t make reality shows if they don’t bring in a batterer. They’re not happy. They have to clean up the image of men who have attacked women,” he said without a filter.

And it didn’t stop there. The singer assured that HotSpanish is “protecting an abuser” and that everything is an attempt to cover up what Darrechi did. The program, which has already accumulated more than 1.1 million viewers in its continuous transmission, has become a digital phenomenon in Mexico. But this type of criticism puts its narrative in check.

“For us victims, it is uncomfortable and degrading that they are in this in order to clean up the image of this character,” she added.

What began as an entertainment experiment now faces uncomfortable questions: how far does a creator’s responsibility go when their content gives a platform to figures accused of gender violence? Yeri Mua didn’t just throw accusations; He put his finger on a sore that many preferred to ignore.

Julio César Chávez opens up in new docuseries for ViX

The legendary Mexican boxer premieres series on ViX and reveals details of his life without filters.

The new look at your life

Julio César Chávez, who in the 80s was considered the best boxer in the world pound for pound and champion in three categories, is preparing to premiere the docuseries “Chávez vs Chávez” in September on the ViX platform. The 64-year-old from Sonora promises a no-holds-barred story about his rises, falls and his recovery process.

“It is a series that talks about the rise and fall that I had, but also about the rise. From when I was a child, from when I was world champion and everything else, of course the family is involved,” he declared.

The production is carried out by Diego Enrique Osorno, known for documentaries such as “The show, chronicle of a murder” and “The mountain”. It is the second time that Chávez is portrayed in this format; The first was in 2007 by Diego Luna, in a feature film. In 2017 the bioseries “El César” with Armando Hernández was broadcast.

“It’s not that I didn’t like it (Luna’s), but this one is going to be more beautiful; in that one I was very bad then (due to substance use) and this one is more complete,” he commented.

There are also plans for a film in the United States, still in negotiation. “After it is achieved, I can leave this world peacefully. I am already very seen,” he added.

Chávez was world champion in Super Featherweight, Lightweight and Super Lightweight. He had more than 80 knockouts (eight out of 10 fights) and just six defeats. After his retirement, he faced problems with alcohol and other substance use; He entered rehabilitation in 2010. Today he is a commentator on TV Azteca and gives motivational talks.

Starting this week, he also appears in a “Call of Duty: Mobile” campaign for Mexico and Latin America, where players will get gloves inspired by the former boxer with his signature. The recording was made at Churubusco Studios.

“Video games are very important in the new generations, I see how my grandson Julito handles it, he is six years old and since being born with them, he teaches me, I think he will like this one.”

Almost 30 years after his retirement, children still recognize him. “It’s something beautiful that money can’t buy and that’s what I’m going to take with me when I die,” he concluded.

Enjambre prepares for its solo debut at the GNP

Enjambre will make his solo debut at the GNP Stadium with two dates and a new album.

A jump to the big stage

Swarm will take a key step in its trajectory. The Mexican rock band will perform for the first time as soloists at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, on August 29 and 30. The high demand led them to open a second date.

They had previously played at that venue, but as part of the Vive Latino lineup. Now the public will go exclusively to see them. More than 60 thousand attendees per night, a stage of dozens of square meters.

Preparation and surprises

Vocalist Luis Humberto Navejas trains hard to be in optimal physical condition. “The challenge is to make sure that the return they give to this large and important place is beyond what they expect,” he said in an interview with The Associated Press.

He announced that they plan to release visuals created especially for these concerts. “We want to take advantage of that space to have something different, something we have never done,” added guitarist Isaac Navejas.

On July 18 they will play at Pershing Square in Los Angeles, along with Inspector, La Unión, Comisario Pantera and Pastilla.

New physical album

Before the dates at the GNP, they will release the CD and vinyl version of their album “Daños Luz”, released at the beginning of the year. Includes songs like “Angustias”, “The Difference” and “Vínculo”.

“This is an album where there was a hunger to play rock again,” explained Luis Humberto. “We were coming from the acoustic tour of ‘Salon Nights’, but we already wanted to return to the noise, to the distortions.”

The best way to listen to it, he says, is from start to finish, song by song, “the way we wrote it.”

They will soon release the rest of their discography on vinyl: “Próximos prójimos”, “Imperfecto strange”, “Proaño” and “El Segundo es felino”.

With two dates and a new physical album, Enjambre is preparing to give a concert that promises to be historic for its followers.

Juan Gabriel returns to movie theaters with his historic concert in Fine Arts

The emblematic concert from 1990 will be screened in Cinemex theaters during August 2026.

A cultural milestone on the big screen

The legacy of Alberto Aguilera Valadez, known as Juan Gabriel, continues. Cinemex announces the special screening of the concert “Mi Primer Bellas Artes” in its theaters during August 2026. This occurs almost a decade after the departure of the Michoacan composer, while his performance of “Hasta que te met” resonates as the unofficial anthem of Mexican fans at the 2026 World Cup.

The original presentation, from May 9 to 12, 1990, marked a before and after. Juan Gabriel was the first popular music singer-songwriter to perform at the Palace of Fine Arts, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra. The access of a popular artist to that venue generated controversy among critics of the time, as recorded in the INBAL archives. However, the show broke barriers and democratized the use of the country’s highest artistic forum.

Features and pre-sales

The screenings will be exclusive in Cinemex complexes. Ticket pre-sale begins on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, both on digital channels and at physical ticket offices.
