A Night that Changed Everything in Tlajomulco
Life can change in an instant, and unfortunately, that was the harsh reality that two families faced in Tlajomulco. Two young people, just 12 and 15 years old, lost their lives in a road accident that has left an entire community in shock. Although today the pain is immense, it is time to reflect on the importance of road safety and the value of each life.
The Events That Moved a City
Around 10:00 PM, a call to 911 alerted authorities about a head-on collision on the Camino a Lomas de Tejeda. Upon arrival, the officers found a Spark vehicle with damage, a destroyed motorcycle and, a few meters ahead, the lifeless bodies of the two minors. The driver of the car explained that the lack of lighting in the area made his visibility difficult, which triggered this tragedy.
The paramedics confirmed the inevitable: there was no opportunity to save the young people. Meanwhile, family and friends arrived at the scene, heartbroken, reminding us how fragile existence can be. The ministerial authorities immediately began field work to clarify what happened, while the Forensic Medical Service was in charge of the corresponding procedures.
A Call to Collective Consciousness
This event is not only a tragedy, but also a warning. How can we prevent future accidents? Road safety is everyone’s responsibility: drivers, pedestrians and authorities. Adequate lighting, respect for speed limits and road safety education are essential steps to avoid further losses.
Today, those two young souls leave us a lesson: life is a gift that we must take care of. Let’s take advantage of each day, hug our loved ones and act with caution. Because, as a society, we will only move forward when we understand that every life counts.
