Organized crime continues to do its thing in Guerrero
Ah, Guerrero… the tourist paradise that lately seems more like a set of “Narcos: the budget version”. This morning, two dismembered men (yes, you read that right) appeared in an abandoned taxi on the Acapulco-Chilpancingo highway, as if it were the worst Uber service in history. The vehicle was parked near La Venta, because nothing says “welcome” like a crime in a suburban area.
The details you didn’t ask for (but we still told you)
The authorities, who are always late to the drama, confirmed that the car’s windshield came with “bonus track”: two cards with messages from some criminal group that clearly did not hire a community manager. As if that were not enough, it is believed that the victims were taxi drivers, because in this country driving public transportation seems more dangerous than infiltrating the cartel.
And in case you were wondering how 2025 was going in terms of social peace… well, there are already 26 taxi drivers murdered. Award for macabre record? Meanwhile, in the El Quemado community (a name that sounds like a town from Resident Evil), another body appeared near the General Hospital. Because nothing goes better with health than an unsolved crime.
