In a match full of emotions, Tigres and Toluca tied 1-1 at the Estadio Universitario, leaving the series open for the second leg. The cats showed deficiencies in offensive creativity, while the scarlets took advantage of their opportunities to keep the score level.
First half: Alternation in dominance
Toluca began with greater possession and danger. At 14 minutes, Marcel Ruiz tried his luck with a header to the near post, but Nahuel Guzmán contained the ball without difficulty. However, against the run of play, Tigres took the lead in the 18th minute thanks to a precise shot by Nicolás Ibáñez, who ended a drought of 534 minutes without scoring.

The match was dominated by Toluca, which sought the advantage with clear arrivals. Luan García (52′) and Paulinho (63′) were close, but Nahuel was once again key for the cats. Antonio Mohamed‘s offensive changes failed to break the scarlet defense, and the tie remained until the final whistle.
The second leg, at the Nemesio Díez Stadium, will define the finalist. Toluca advances with another draw, while Tigres must win as a visitor to qualify.
