President Claudia Sheinbaum thanked the participation of hundreds of people who gathered in public squares throughout the country during her accountability report for the second anniversary of her electoral victory.
“Thank you to everyone who participated. A lot of enthusiasm, a lot of affection, a lot of strength from the people of Mexico,” he expressed in the morning conference.
The message was transmitted simultaneously in different parts of the country, where sympathizers, militants and citizens followed the speech from the Monument to the Revolution.
Call for sovereignty
During his speech, Sheinbaum called to defend national sovereignty. He affirmed that Mexico is a free, independent and sovereign country, and that no foreign nation or external agent can subdue the dignity of the Mexican people.
In the context of tensions with the United States over security issues and the fight against organized crime, the president reiterated that the bilateral relationship must be based on respect, coordination and cooperation, but without subordination. He also rejected any attempt to interfere in internal affairs.
Citizen participation was a key element of the day. Hundreds of people gathered to hear the report, reflecting support for Sheinbaum’s administration at a key moment in consolidating his leadership.
