The Gang recovers its essence with a beating
After weeks of doubts and poor results, Rayados needed a hit on the table. And boy did he give it. With Nicolás Sánchez directing from the bench for the first time, the team came out to take over the field.
The atmosphere in the locker room changed. It was noticeable from the first minute. Monterrey played with an intensity that we had not seen in a long time, as if someone had pressed a reset button.
Luca Orellano broke the drought with a real shot in the 40th minute that exploded into the rival goal.
That goal was the liberation. The stands exploded and the players seemed to lift a huge weight off their shoulders. When a team regains confidence, it becomes dangerous.
Canales and Tecatito started the engine
The second half was pure spectacle. Sergio Canales showed why he is a different player, with that vision and quality for the final pass. And then the magic moment arrived.
Jesús “Tecatito” Corona found the perfect angle to unleash a sharp shot from the semicircle.
That great goal from Tecatito at 84′ was a goal to frame. It hit the post and went in like it had eyes. When individual talents shine like this, everything becomes easier.
Orellano closed the night with his double, but the important thing was not just the goals. It was the attitude, the dedication, that hunger that had been absent.
Now comes the good part: the Clásico Regio. With this injection of confidence, Rayados arrives transformed into the match that we all expect. The Gang woke up just in time.
