The match
A goal by Erling Haaland in the final minutes gave Norway a place in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. They beat Ivory Coast 2-1 in a closely contested duel at the Dallas stadium.
Norway took the lead in the 39th minute with a precise shot by Antonio Nusa into the corner, unstoppable by goalkeeper Yahia Fofana. The Ivorians looked for an equalizer insistently, but failed in the definition.
It was not until the 74th minute that Amad Diallo equalized with an individual play and cross shot to beat Orjan Nyland. The match became more intense, with dangerous arrivals in both areas.
At minute 85, Haaland appeared alone in the area to push the ball and make it 2-1. Ivory Coast tried to equalize until the end, but failed and was eliminated.
Now Norway will face Brazil next Sunday at the New York stadium.
