A Plan that Will Change the Destiny of the Mexican Countryside
In an epic turn that will mark the future of the nation, President Claudia Sheinbaum solemnly unveiled the Food Sovereignty Strategy, a bold plan that will mobilize 53,971 million pesos in 2025 and will scale to 83,760 million by 2030. The Mexican countryside will never be the same again!
Credit, Insurance and Fair Markets: The Sacred Triad
Under the name “Harvesting Sovereignty”, this revolutionary program will grant credits with preferential rates, insurance against droughts and pests, and most importantly: direct agreements to avoid predatory intermediaries. “We guarantee fair prices for corn, beans and honey,” Sheinbaum declared with the firmness of someone who knows that the fate of millions hangs on his words.
But that’s not all. The Wellness Stores will become sanctuaries of social justice, buying 5% of the production from small farmers to process and sell in vulnerable areas. A masterstroke that combats hunger and enriches the true heroes: the farmers!
Goals that Defy the Impossible
The Secretary of Agriculture, Julio Berdegué, dramatically revealed the goals: 25 million tons of corn, 1.2 million beans, and 15 billion liters of milk by 2030. Zacatecas, Chiapas and Veracruz will be the epicenters of this agricultural feat!
And as if it were the final act of an opera, María Luisa Albores announced the construction of eight processing plants, from chocolates in Tabasco to flour in Puebla. “We will transform the sweat of the earth into gold for the communities,” he proclaimed.
The grand finale? Liconsa will double its coverage, bringing fortified milk to 10 million beneficiaries. A feat that will make history!
