The future of procedures in Mexico is digital and uncomplicated!
President Claudia Sheinbaum has marked a before and after in the relationship between citizens, companies and the government. Good news! This Monday, April 21, the National Law to Eliminate Bureaucratic Procedures and Corruption was sent to Congress, an initiative that will simplify, digitalize and standardize processes at all levels of government. Imagine a Mexico where procedures are fast, transparent and accessible from any device. That Mexico is already on its way!
Single Window: your digital door to new opportunities
As part of the Mexico Plan, the National Digital Investment Window is born, a platform that will centralize all the processes to start, build and operate businesses. José Antonio Peña Merino, head of the Digital Transformation Agency, highlighted that this system will reduce waiting times from 2.6 years to just 1 year, with 80% of online procedures. Less roles, more action!
Did you know that currently 51 procedures and 466 requirements are required to invest? With this reform, everything will be simplified to 32 procedures and 127 requirements, consolidated on a single platform. In addition, a digital file will be implemented where documents will only be uploaded once. Goodbye to repetitive bureaucracy!
Training and support for a connected Mexico
The transformation doesn’t stop there. The National Center for Public Technology will be created, with a School of Technology that has already trained 1,300 public servants in programming, telematics and public cloud. Knowledge is power, and Mexico is investing in its digital future!
The progress is tangible: 9 states have already signed agreements, and by November 2024, all procedures will be available online. Ximena Escobedo, from the Ministry of Economy, announced that the registration deadlines for companies will be reduced from 90 to 30 days. More agility, more growth!
