The Strength of the Paths that Lead Life

And let’s talk about the operational magic behind this miracle: The Routes of Health. Today, 328 routes are in motion, crossing mountains, mountains and rural roads with a sacred mission: to guarantee that not a single medical unit is left without its supplies. This logistical deployment of pure abundance is supplying 637 hospitals and delivering more than 16 million pieces for their monthly operation. Do you realize the magnitude? It is a torrent of well-being that flows to every corner of our nation, demonstrating that with will and a clear strategy, there is no obstacle that we cannot overcome.

Visualize the impact: 8,342 health centers and 646 hospitals strengthened in just three months. This ensures that consultation, emergency, surgery and oncology services never stop. Each medication kit delivered is a powerful message to each patient: “Your health matters, your life matters, and we are here for you.” This is not just a distribution system; It is a network of love and commitment that weaves a healthier and fairer Mexico.

The True Meaning of Continuity

As Alejandro Svarch puts it well, each route means that a patient will be able to receive their treatment without interruptions. This is the essence of the transformation: consolidating a national distribution system that works regularly, continuously and, most importantly, sufficiently. It is a vibrant reminder that our challenges are opportunities to grow and that, together, we can build a future where health is a real right and not a privilege. This success belongs to everyone, and is proof that when we set a goal with faith and action, miracles happen.

Two people rescued on jet skis off the coast of Veracruz

The Navy helps two crew members stranded on Salmedina Island due to mechanical failure.

Elements of the Secretary of the Navy rescued two people who were left adrift on a jet ski with mechanical failures. The incident occurred off the coast of Veracruz, in the vicinity of Isla Salmedina.

The operation

The Naval Search, Rescue and Maritime Surveillance Station (ENSAR) Veracruz received an emergency call. They reported a jet ski with a breakdown that prevented its safe movement. There were two crew members on board.

Given the warning, a Defender-type rescue vessel was ordered to set sail. Personnel specialized in maritime search and rescue operations went to the scene. When they arrived, they found the crew. Due to the low draft in the area, rescue swimmers recovered them.

Once the maneuver was completed, the jet ski was towed to the facilities of the Heroic Naval Military School. There, the two crew members were evaluated by Naval Health personnel from the Antón Lizardo Naval Hospital. Both were in good health. The operation concluded successfully.

March of teachers causes traffic chaos near the Azteca stadium

Teacher protest and strong police operation before the Colombia-Uzbekistan match.

Hundreds of teachers led a peaceful march to the Azteca stadium before the Colombia-Uzbekistan match for the 2026 World Cup. The police blocked access with concrete barriers, cranes and trucks to prevent their progress.

The mobilization did not reach the stadium, but it generated heavy congestion in the surrounding area. Those attending the game had to take a detour and walk several kilometers.

Security operation and official response

Some 11,219 troops were deployed in the capital, with reinforcements from horse police in Azteca. The Secretary of Security, Pablo Vázquez, reported that almost 8,000 would guard the stadium and the rest the historic center, where a festival of supporters was set up.

The deployment occurs six days after the protests during the opening of the World Cup, when teachers, searchers for the missing and activists demonstrated. On that occasion, the forces blocked their advance without major setbacks.

The National Coordinator of Education Workers called for new mobilizations to increase pressure. The federal government called the unions to a dialogue table.

President Claudia Sheinbaum announced teleworking in the public sector and suspension of classes in Mexico City and Guadalajara to avoid congestion during matches.

Groups of relatives of missing people have also protested to demand attention to the crisis that has accumulated 135,000 cases.
