El Tri is already warming up!
The Sports Directorate dropped the bomb: the pre-list of 55 players for the 2026 World Cup, with Javier Aguirre in charge. Ochoa and company are already in the CAR, but there are names that hurt.
Chivas rules with eight elements, but the absences of Rodrigo Huescas and Hirving Lozano are the topic of the table. Injuries? Underperformance? The mystery is served.
Of the 55, 13 already have a guaranteed ticket and are training at CAR: from the experienced Ochoa to the young Brian Gutiérrez. The mix of experience and youth is Aguirre’s bet.
Ochoa, the first European to join, comes from AEL Limassol. In two weeks, seven players from Europe will join the friendlies. Preparation is key.
The final list will be 26, and from the 19 foreigners the 13 who complete the team will emerge. The competition is red hot.
Absences that hurt: Huescas and Lozano do not appear on the list sent to FIFA. This has led to speculation about his physical condition and performance. Chucky is out, at least for now.
The confirmed are the backbone: Ochoa, Acevedo, Rangel, Reyes, Gallardo, Gutiérrez, Mora, Romo, Lira, Vega, Alvarado, Martínez and González. All training hard at the CAR.
The complete pre-list includes goalkeepers like Padilla and Rodríguez, defenders like Montes and Álvarez, midfielders like Fidalgo and Chávez, and forwards like Giménez and Jiménez. Talent to spare.
“There are 55 names in which eight elements from Guadalajara predominate and the absences of Rodrigo Huescas and Hirving Lozano also stand out.”
The road to the 2026 World Cup starts here. The fans dream, and with reason. The mix of veterans and promises can surprise. Up with Tri!
