Goodbye to Kaylee Hottle
Ketsi Hottle said goodbye to her daughter Kaylee, an actress known for her role in “Godzilla vs. Kong”, with a photo in front of the sea. They both appear smiling. The young woman died at the age of 18 in a car accident in Maryland, United States.
On Instagram, the mother published the image and a video of almost four minutes. In it, he communicates with followers using American Sign Language (ASL), unable to contain his tears.
“It was a privilege to be your mother,” she wrote alongside the publication.
Support campaign
People close to Kaylee started a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses, meals and other urgent needs.
“In times like this, even small gestures of support can make a big difference… Your generosity will help ease some of the burdens and allow you to focus on honoring Kaylee’s memory,” the page reads.
What happened?
The young woman’s father, who played Jia in “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” confirmed the news through a video on Facebook.
“I am taking a flight I would never have wanted to take,” he wrote, explaining that he was traveling from Texas to Maryland to claim his daughter’s body on Tuesday, July 21.
According to reports, Kaylee was traveling with two other companions. The car went off the road and fell into a ditch. Authorities indicated that excessive speed was a contributing factor, after hitting a culvert.
Kaylee was taken to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead. The 19-year-old driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The third companion refused medical attention.
The crash remains under investigation by Frederick County.
