Welcome to Julián Quiñones
The Mexico City International Airport was the scene of a massive reception for Julián Quiñones. Passengers and workers approached the forward to ask for photos and autographs, while expressing their gratitude. On the plane, applause and cheers accompanied him to his seat.
The Tricolor attacker left an indelible mark in the 2026 World Cup. He scored four goals, equaling Javier Hernández and Luis Hernández as the Mexicans with the most goals in World Cups, but in his first participation.
Born in Colombia in 1997, Quiñones chose to become Mexican naturalized and was called up by Jaime Lozano in 2023, despite the interest of the Colombian team. His performance not only stood out on the field, but generated a strong bond with the fans, who see him as a symbol of hope for the future of Mexican soccer.
