John Cena, the “King of Titles” (or the art of winning with help)
Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, John Cena has done it again. The man who once made us believe that “hard work pays” (unless you have a millionaire rapper on your side) just surpassed Ric Flair‘s record with his 17th reign in WWE. As? With a low blow, a belt and the star appearance of Travis Scott, because nothing says “unbeatable legacy” like needing a surprise guest to win.
The fight that no one saw coming (but we all expected)
The “Marine” entered the ring with a towel that said “The last time is now” (or was it a reminder to himself?). Cody Rhodes, the “American Nightmare”, seemed to have everything under control until, surprise!, Travis Scott appeared as if he were in a Fast & Furious cameo. Your contribution? Take out the referee and give the belt to Cena. Because, of course, in WWE, the rules are more flexible than a wrestler after three hours in the gym.
Rhodes, in an act of nobility worthy of a fairy tale (or someone who did not want to be disqualified), did not hit Scott. Mistake. Cena, grateful, responded with a low blow and a belt. And that’s how records are written, kids!
Penta Zero Fear: Almost, almost… but no
Meanwhile, Penta Zero Miedo learned a valuable lesson: debuting at WrestleMania does not guarantee a happy ending. On the verge of winning the Intercontinental Championship, Dominik Mysterio (dad’s favorite) took it from him with a “bad iron” that, ironically, worked perfectly. And if that were not enough, Carlito appeared to ruin Penta’s epic moment. Moral? In WWE, even cameos have cameos.
What’s next? A Cena reign full of celebrity appearances? Is Penta looking for revenge? The only thing that is certain is that WWE never disappoints lovers of drama… and ridiculous twists.
