After years of public tension, one of the biggest rivalries of the genre has come to an end: J Balvin and Residente met again.
It was the Colombian who announced the news through his social networks, where he not only published a photograph together to the rapper, he also wrote a message in which he highlighted the value of two people who do not completely coincide being able to understand each other:
“In the face of the immensity of the things that happen in the world, this is possibly one of the smallest. But in such a complex world, that two people who do not coincide in everything can meet again, it seems valuable to us,” wrote the reggaeton player.
Although he did not give many details about this meeting, he did explain that it was not something recent and that they had the opportunity to talk and put an end to the differences that confronted them.
“Months ago we met. We listened to each other. We understood each other. In the end, time is always right,” he added.
How did the reunion between J Balvin and Residente happen?
The dispute between both artists dates back to the end of 2021, when Balvin made strong criticisms of the Latin Grammy, inviting other artists to boycott the ceremony, considering that it did not value urban musicians. That episode bothered Residente, who not only attacked the words of the “Rojo” singer; but he dedicated one of the most famous shoots to him with Bizarrap.
