Operational in the metropolitan area of Monterrey
Federal authorities seized more than one million liters of fuel of illicit origin during a search of a property in the municipality. The operation was coordinated between the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Mexican Army and the National Guard.
At the site, located on the Alfonso Martínez Domínguez bypass, the agents located approximately 671 thousand liters of possible hydrocarbon. They also found 400 thousand liters of a black and yellow liquid, which is already being analyzed in laboratories to determine its composition.
In addition to the fuel, logistical equipment for its transportation was seized. Among the insured are tractor trucks, tank trucks, Frac Tank type units, Dolly equipment, about 409 cubitanks, vertical storage silos, motor pumps and power generating plants. All the material was in a mega property used by criminal networks.
Second relevant seizure of the month
This insurance is the second most important in the entity during May. At the beginning of the month, the state FGR reported another operation where 184 thousand liters of hydrocarbons were seized and a fuel trafficking network in the Monterrey area was dismantled.
The authorities indicated that these results come from strategic intelligence work. The blow to the illegal fuel market directly affects the operations of the organizations that benefit from huachicol in the region.
