Saturday scare
Héctor Suárez Gomís lived one of those moments that you don’t easily forget. The Mexican actor was ready to board a Viva Aerobus flight on Saturday, April 2, 2026 when everything went to hell.
It turns out that the security protocol was activated due to a possible bomb threat. And it wasn’t just anything: elements of the Navy entered the plane and told them that takeoff would be delayed by about 90 minutes.
The interpreter told it all in his X account, in great detail. “Later, more Navy elements appeared, now with dogs, and through the windows you could see other armed elements guarding the plane, while Public Security personnel checked the checked luggage,” he wrote.

Final decision
Suárez Gomís thanked the airline staff for their attention, but made it clear that, despite the whole show, he preferred not to get on. “What a blessing that they finally didn’t find any explosives!” he said.
The authorities did their part: they searched the plane and the luggage, and in the end they ruled out any explosive devices. Everything was a scare, but enough for the actor to decide that this flight was not for him.
