Grupo Firme: From the bars to your screen (with everything and spite)
Get ready, mortals, because Grupo Firme is about to turn your living room into the next den of heartbreak (or party, depending on how many chelas you have). Yes, the kings of Mexican regional 2.0 not only fill stadiums, now they will also invade your Disney+, because nothing says “magic” like a collective cry of “Get over me!” at 9 at night.
The tour that was almost canceled due to a soap opera drama
After three years of absence (and after a narcomanta ruined their plan in Mazatlán as if it were an episode of The Lord of the Skies), the band returns with La Última Peda Tour. And no, it’s not a metaphor: it’s 23 stages of pure musical súfrele, including its eighth time at the GNP (previously known as Foro Sol, for millennials who haven’t gotten over the change yet).
But here’s the plot twist: if you don’t have tickets or your budget only allows for a few tacos, Disney+ saves you with the streaming of the concert in CDMX this June 28. Because, let’s be honest, what better combo than Grupo Firme and your sofa with guacamole stains?
Evolution: From the north to Europe (with a stop in the drama)
Their new album, Evolución, is a mix between ballads that will make even your ex cry and songs to twerk the pain. With collaborations from Joss Favela, Gloria Trevi (yes, the one from “Pelo Loose”) and Carolina Ross, it is basically the Avengers of regional music. And like any good drama, it includes songs like “He wants to cry and he can’t” (aka the anthem of those who act strong in the chat).
Eduin Caz, the frontman who went from singing in bars to making despite viral, does not lose his humor: “Before they paid us with chelas, now we fill stadiums… and even Disney signed us”. Next step? A biopic with Omar Chaparro, obviously.
Where and when? Streaming starts at 9:00 p.m. (Mexico time) on Disney+. Recommendation: prepare the tejocotes and turn off the family chat, because this is going to be epic.
