A meeting of pop queens at the National Auditorium
The National Auditorium witnessed a magical night where three icons of Latin music, Fey, Ana Bárbara and Marta Sánchez, came together in the second edition of Dancing Queen. The event, held before a dedicated audience, combined nostalgia, talent and stage production, establishing itself as a tribute to decades of musical successes.
A beginning with ups and downs and memorable moments
The evening began with a medley of “Dancing Queen”, the song that gave its name to the show. However, the debut was not without setbacks: Marta Sánchez faced technical problems with the track during her first block, which included songs like “Soy Yo” and “La que Never Se Rinde”. Despite this, the Spanish artist demonstrated professionalism by overcoming the incident, reminding the public of her 40 years of career and announcing a new album for November.
Although the Colossus of Reforma did not reach its full capacity (with 75% occupancy), the atmosphere was warm and participatory. Ana Bárbara took the opportunity to pay tribute to LGBTQ+ pride month, dedicating words of gratitude to her audience: “I love you,” she expressed before performing classics such as “La Trampa” and “No Es Brujería”, the latter with Marta Sánchez.
Notable interactions and collaborations
The concert, structured in individual blocks and collaborations, allowed each artist to shine with their repertoire. Fey surprised with a mix of her dance hits, including “Media Naranja” and “Bajo el Arcoíris”, while Ana Bárbara electrified with “Bandido” and “Besos Robados”. Marta Sánchez, for her part, evoked emotions with ballads like “Colgado en Tus Manos”.
One of the most emotional moments came when Fey shared a message dedicated to her daughter Isabella: “Thank you for loving me,” she declared, reflecting the importance of her family in her career. The presence of guests such as Luz Elena González and Ana Bárbara’s son added an intimate touch to the show.
An ending worthy of legends
The closing included an unexpected foray into traditional Mexican music: Fey performed “Caray” with mariachi, followed by Marta Sánchez (“Volver, Volver”) and Ana Bárbara (” Así Fue”). The night culminated with the reprise of “Dancing Queen”, where artists and audience sang and danced in unison, sealing an evening that celebrated the musical diversity and legacy of these three divas.
