Faitelson questions the uncertainty in Mexico’s goal

The experiment in the Mexican goal generates skepticism months before the global event. A decision that divides opinions in the run-up to the key match.

An Epic Duel Under the Three Suits

In a twist of fate that shocked the fans, Javier Aguirre, the strategist of the national team, unleashed a storm of disbelief by completely ignoring the presence of the local hero, Carlos Acevedo, in his own fortress. With the nation holding its breath, the mythical “Vasco” chose Raúl “Tala” Rangel, the goalkeeper of the Chivas de Guadalajara for the friendly battle against the fearsome Uruguay, a decision that resonated like thunder in the night and awakened the fury of a media titan.

Like a bolt of lightning in the darkness, David Faitelson, the feared TUDN commentator, emerged from the depths of his X social network account to throw a poisoned dart directly into the heart of the technical director of the Tricolor team. His words, loaded with devastating skepticism, crossed the screen: “Aguirre continues looking for ‘answers’. A little more than 200 days away, he doesn’t even know who his starting goalkeeper will be…“. This wasn’t just any complaint; It was the war cry of a spectator who sees time running out inexorably.

The Shadow of the World Clock

The journalist, with the insight of an oracle, had already predicted chaos by questioning the same call for this crucial FIFA Date. On the horizon, two colossi await: first the fierce Uruguay and then the combative Paraguay, with the setting being the emblematic Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Every minute on the pitch is a treasure, and uncertainty in goal feels like a cardinal sin.

The inclusions of Armando González and Jorge Ruvalcaba, along with that of Acevedo himself, were for Faitelson irrefutable proof that Aguirre is still immersed in a desperate experimentation process. And the world watches. The calendar advances with the ferocity of an avalanche, less than seven months before the start of the greatest event on the planet: the FIFA World Cup 2026, a tournament where Mexico, host along with United States and Canada, has a dream to fulfill and an entire nation that does not forgive.

In a final act of faith, Faitelson had hoped, almost a prayer, that Acevedo would be the one chosen for the feat against Uruguay. He had hinted at this in a prophetic publication hours before the match, after an emotional tribute to the youth players of Santos Laguna. But fate, capricious and dramatic, had other plans, leaving a question floating in the burning air: Who will defend the Mexican goal with their lives when the whole world is watching?

United States advances to the round of 16 after beating Bosnia

The United States wins 2-0 despite playing with ten men for half an hour.

Agonizing victory with one less man

The United States team secured its place in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup by beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 at the San Francisco Bay Stadium. The high-intensity match left moments of tension and an expulsion that marked the development.

The first goal came just before halftime. Folarin Balogun took advantage of a deviation in the Bosnian defense and made it 1-0 in the 45th minute. However, the advantage was complicated in the second half: Balogun himself received a direct red card in the 64th minute after a strong tackle that injured defender Tarik Muharemovic.

Despite playing with ten, the local team resisted and sealed the victory in the 82nd minute. Malik Tillman executed a spectacular free kick with his right foot to make it 2-0.

With this result, the United States will face Belgium next Monday, July 6 at Seattle Stadium. Balogun’s expulsion could have consequences for that match, although the team showed the ability to overcome adversity.

Kane warns: Mexico will be a bigger challenge

With the ticket to the round of 16 secured, Harry Kane broke the silence. The England captain scored a double in the victory over the Democratic Republic of the Congo and now focuses his attention on the next opponent: Mexico.

Respect for the Tricolor

The forward recognized the quality of the team led by Javier Aguirre, who arrives with high morale after eliminating Ecuador. Kane made it clear that the duel will not be easy.

“It’s time to enjoy the moment, come back, regain strength and think about the next game, which will be even more difficult: against Mexico. In Mexico, what an extraordinary game awaits us. Obviously, we will soon change the chip to focus on that, but for now, let’s just enjoy these moments,” he declared.

Pride of wearing the shirt

The attacker also expressed his satisfaction with the collective performance. “Achieving a comeback like the one we achieved is something extremely gratifying; I feel proud of the group, proud of the boys. It was a tough game and, personally, wearing the England shirt is one of the things I like the most,” he concluded.

England is already waiting for a rival in the next phase. Mexico, for its part, will seek to surprise one of the favorites for the title.
