Keeping a Duolingo streak alive requires spending at least five minutes a day on a language lesson. However, day-to-day occupations lead many users to lose this record of consistency.
The green bird platform has turned streaks into a symbol of discipline within its community. Now launch a contest to find out the most extraordinary stories behind those losses.
How to participate?
The call is open from May 25 to 30. Those interested must publish the story of how they lost their streak on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads or YouTube. It is necessary to tag Duolingo Español and include the hashtag #MiRacha.
Duolingo will choose the nine most original, dramatic or chaotic stories. The winners will receive a trip worth between 3,000 and 10,000 dollars, which includes flight and accommodation. In addition, they will recover their lost streak.
The contest is valid for residents of Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Chile. The complete bases are available on the official platform.
You don’t need to be a language expert to tell a good story. It is enough to have dedicated months—or years—to the application and have a powerful reason that justifies temporarily abandoning the habit.
