A surprise appearance that stole the flash
Dua Lipa decided Valentine’s Day would be best celebrated on a red carpet. The singer appeared unannounced at the Berlin International Film Festival to accompany her fiancé, actor Callum Turner, at the premiere of her new film, Rosebush Pruning.
Its arrival at the Berlinale Palast was not on the official program, so imagine the madness among photographers and attendees. It was a genuinely sweet moment.
Fashion and complicity on the carpet
She wore a transparent lace dress, he a sober brown suit. They posed between laughter, knowing looks and gestures of affection. Lipa then gracefully bowed out to let Turner take center stage in promoting her film. A gesture of support that says a lot.
Rosebush Pruning is a family satire about four American siblings caught between an inherited fortune, emotional isolation, and the secrets after their mother’s death. The cast is impressive: Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Elle Fanning and even Pamela Anderson.
But of course, at the previous press conference, everyone wanted to talk about something else: the rumors that place Turner as the next James Bond.
“It’s too early for that question. I’m not going to comment on anything,” said the actor.
The tension was broken when a fellow cast member intervened: “Sorry, I’m the next James Bond,” unleashing laughter from everyone. A perfect time to avoid an uncomfortable topic with humor.
In the end, it was a night where personal support and a good joke won over mere spectacle. And that’s always refreshing.
