From the charts to the Harvard classrooms
Danna Paola, the artist who has given us everything from catchy songs to iconic roles on TV, has just crossed a huge dream off her list. We are not talking about a gold record, but about something perhaps more unexpected: being a lecturer at Harvard University.
Yes, you read that right. The Mexican interpreter was invited to participate in the LEAD Conference (Latina Empowerment and Development), a space created precisely to recognize and enhance the talent and leadership of Latina women.
“It has been a dream to be here and receive this recognition… Being in a space that exists to elevate the leadership, voice and impact of Latina women makes this moment deeply meaningful to me,”
Danna shared on her networks, where she also published photos of the moment. It’s no small feat to go from recording study sessions to addressing an audience at one of the most prestigious universities on the planet.
An achievement that transcends music
Recognition does not stop at just a plaque or a diploma. It is a powerful gesture that puts on the table the influence that artists like her have beyond the stage. His voice literally resonated in a forum dedicated to professional and social development.
“Thank you for listening to me, for creating community and reminding us that our voice”,
he wrote, thanking him for the opportunity. And of course, her followers and colleagues were quick to shower her with congratulations.
Between trips around London (with its inevitable tea afternoons) and artistic commitments, Danna demonstrated once again that her career is a multiverse. Today he does not celebrate a musical hit, but rather having inspired one of the most important academic centers with his story. Something that, without a doubt, tastes even better than any first place.
