Cruz Martínez’s legal situation is complicated
The Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office has just detected a serious breach of the rules that the producer had to follow. This is not a minor detail: it could change the entire game.
Let’s remember the context. In February, his ex-wife, the singer Alicia Villarreal, denounced him for alleged family violence, robbery and attempted femicide. Since then, it has been an all-out legal and media battle.
What exactly did (or didn’t he do)?
To avoid jail time while the case is resolved, a judge set very clear conditions. One of them was to show up to sign every 15 days. A simple, but mandatory procedure.
Well, according to an official document that is already circulating on the networks, Cruz Martínez missed his appointment on March 15. He didn’t show up. Spot.
The statement from the Prosecutor’s Office summons the musician to a hearing on April 14 for the “modification or review of the precautionary measure imposed.”
Here comes the important thing. If the judge considers that this absence did not have a valid justification, he can send him directly to preventive detention. The rules are to be followed.
Meanwhile, Alicia Villarreal’s legal team is following the case closely. Her lawyer, Gerardo Rincón Flores, ensures that protection and justice are guaranteed for the singer.
What started as a complaint between famous ex-couples now has very real and legal consequences. And for Cruz Martínez, the margin of error has just been reduced to zero.
