The semi-finals start and this is promising!
This Wednesday the Liga MX gives us a highlight: Chivas vs Cruz Azul. The series is defined on Saturday at the Jalisco stadium, and believe me, the atmosphere is going to be red hot.
The Flock changes its house, but not its attitude
Chivas has just left out Tigres in a heart-stopping tie. But there is one detail: they had to hand over Akron to FIFA for preparations for the 2026 World Cup. So they return to their old home, Jalisco. The last time you were local there? Right before Cruz Azul, on March 28, 2025. Spoiler: they lost. But this time it’s different.
“We did it again! Sold out! In the stadium they want, the Chivas fill up and play at home. Another challenge overcome with our chivabrothers and Boletomovil. Jalisco is going to be crazy,” wrote the Rebaño on social media.
Fortress lost, illusion intact
At Akron, those led by Gabriel Milito had 14 games without losing at home. But the fans are not shrinking: they have already announced that the tickets are sold out. That is pure love. And as in sport, when the public pushes, anything is possible.
Adapt or die
The 2026 World Cup forced Chivas to change its logistics, but that does not stop them. It’s like when you get injured and have to reinvent your game: it hurts, but it makes you stronger. We will see if this change of scenery is an obstacle or a springboard. What is certain is that Jalisco will be a caldera.
