An unexpected goodbye in the urban scene
The news came to us as a low blow. Óscar Botello, better known as the rapper Milkman, has died. His brother, who identifies himself as Kiks, was in charge of breaking the sad news through networks.
“Kiks here. One last time I am writing to you from a very vulnerable place to tell you that my brother MILK passed away this afternoon.”
The message, full of pain, thanked the moral and economic support received in recent days, including blood donations. No details were given about the reasons for his departure.
Farewell to a friend and collaborator
Among those who reacted the fastest was Belinda. The singer, currently in Spain recording the series “Carlota”, shared her regret on Instagram. She and Milkman had history: they collaborated on the song “Sueño de ti.”
His message was straight from the heart:
“Today I woke up with this sad news. One of the most talented people, a good friend for so many years… I will never forget it.”
Belinda stressed that she admired him, respected him and was grateful for the opportunity to work with his talent. A genuine recognition among colleagues that transcended the professional.
A legacy that lasts
In the family statement it was highlighted that Milkman left surrounded by friends who were like brothers. And he made something clear: his mark is not erased.
“He left a huge mark on this world and will continue to live on in his music, in his art and in all of us.”
The Mexican independent rap scene loses a voice. But as Belinda rightly says, in his music and those who knew him, Milkman will always be remembered and loved.
Rest in peace.
