The drama queen (and not just on screen) returns to the fray
Oh, surprise. Bárbara de Regil, that public figure who never seeks attention (wink, wink), has decided to share another gem from her personal life on set. This time, the Cabo actress and expert in nutritional controversies claims that the now deceased Guillermo del Bosque tried to kiss her without consent… 15 years ago! Because, of course, what better time to bring this to light than on a reality show recorded last year. Priorities, right?
The story: between the uncomfortable and the… opportune?
In his participation in Secreto de Parejas (a program whose title seems ironic considering that no one keeps secrets there), De Regil dropped the bomb: “He summoned me to see a project… he jumped at me with his mouth open”. And immediately afterwards, the detail that crowns it all: “In addition, he had photos of his wife on his desk.” Because nothing says “I’m a bully” like displaying family photos during bullying. Impeccable logic.
The actress, who coincidentally is married to Fernando Schoenwald (yes, that information is relevant… according to someone), confessed that she had only told her mother and her husband. Until now, when the television cameras gave him the ideal space to… heal? Or to feed the collective morbidity? You decide.
The reflection (or the monologue to justify the timing)
“Why am I taking care of his image if he didn’t take care of me?” he asked himself rhetorically. A powerful phrase, without a doubt, although one cannot help but wonder: And why didn’t he say it when Del Bosque was alive to defend himself? Oh, right… ratings don’t generate themselves.
To close with a flourish, she sent an audio to journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante (because a scandal is not a scandal until a communicator validates it): “I am calm, it gave me peace to tell a story where I was a victim”. What a relief to know that finding peace involves microphones and studio lights. Traditional therapy must be jealous.
Meanwhile, on social networks, the memes did not wait: from comparisons with his controversial “emotional detox” advice to questions about whether his next project will be a manual on “How to manage trauma in prime time”.
Moral? In the world of entertainment, time is relative… especially when there is an audience to lose.
